Serious question, what did change with the new TA and commuting policies? Im considering AS but always heard the commuting rules were poor, and I'll be commuting from LAS so its a priority. I have UA already with LAX and SFO, but their rules arent great compared to DL being able to select open trips before starting LC/SC reserve. Any thoughts what I might be looking at?
The real change for commuters will be from LCR (no involuntary reports before 1400 on the first day), aggressive pickup, assuming there's enough opentime to make that meaningful, and PBS. PBS will hopefully at least allow people to stack work blocks together to minimize commutes or bid commutable reports.

Anything is possible. AS and VX were 2 totally different animals and AS managed to make that happen. Of course they screwed the pooch in doing it though. The next merger will be no different.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn’t the commuter program only apply to AS operated flights? I wasn’t aware that we were able to use off-line travel and still be covered by the policy, but I certainly could have heard wrong.

We've already decided which one. With 82% of the pilots voting in favor of the first scenario.
I don't understand the point in posturing about the future of the economy. At the end of 2024 we will know if the pilot group did the right thing or not.
