Not so much stoking the rumor fire, but just curious, IF HA is a possibility at all, what’s the strategy? Another defensive move that requires selling off assets in order to remain single fleet type? Keeps us from being cash rich and puts a nail in the coffin for potential acquisition? Somehow forces United or someone else to consider a merger? A way to push back against SWA in HA?
Just don’t know enough about HA to see why the juice would be worth the squeeze.

Serious question, what did change with the new TA and commuting policies? Im considering AS but always heard the commuting rules were poor, and I'll be commuting from LAS so its a priority. I have UA already with LAX and SFO, but their rules arent great compared to DL being able to select open trips before starting LC/SC reserve. Any thoughts what I might be looking at?

It ain’t happening. Southwest or UA. Those are the only ones I see possibly going down. But those are a far possibility as well. Alaska has no clue how to run two separate entities, which Hawaiian and AS would have to be run as.
