The NC dropped the ball on profit sharing. Amongst other industry standard things. They went for the bare minimum of what the pilots ranked in order. Nothing more in this scarce pilot market. Disappointing. But 90% of the guys at AS are happy with barely industry standard gains. Pathetic.

None of these points will matter if Alaska doesn't attract new pilots. Why would a regional captain making 160.00 per hour give that up to make that in three years at Alaska. They will wait and go to delta or UPS. This TA does nothing to stop the attrition.

Out of curiosity, how many of the Monday morning quarterbacks have lead or been a part of a contract negotiation that made amazing, not just industry leading, but industry paradigm shifting changes in their contract at brand X.
Feel free to post your identity redacted resume and amazing gains. I just wanna know how we somehow missed out on such epic level negotiating experience. I wasn’t here at the time, but it’s my understanding from those who were, that a negotiator out punting his coverage in negotiations is how we ended up with Kasher.

It’s not our job to make sure that the company can attract pilots. If they need improvements outside of the contract cycle, I’m sure we’d “entertain” them. The ball would still be in our court.

It's in everyone's interest to attract new pilots otherwise there will be no airline. Paying FOs 100.00 is what regionals are doing now.

The former Alaska pilots I have talked to told me they came to United because of far greater flying opportunity because of WB airplanes. It would make sense that Alaska needs to pay a Premium over other majors NB rates, or else pilots will keep leaving or just not apply when you can make the same at United, Delta etc and also have the choice of flying a WB and making higher rates and much easier flying.

There is a massive disconnect between the forums and what I'm hearing in real life. Of 20+ pilots I've personally talked to only 2 are no and 1 undecided the rest yes. Which I makes sense as it was unanimous yes vote from the MEC.
I just never realized just how toxic the people who continously post on forums(including Alyeska) are until this TA. I honestly hate to agree with OTZ. But he's right. 70-80% yes vote. The low first year pay raise makes me think the company isn't as concerned with attrition as you all are. After reading executive summary and listening to every podcast I'm realizing how great our MEC and NC did. Industry leading in multiple areas. Congrats to all and enjoy the new work rules.
