If you understood economics you'd realize the yield curve is most inverted since the early 1980s. Good luck dragging this thing out and hoping for better results. Perhaps the MEC was advised this is the time to lock in work rules and scope. Are you all the same people who kept saying my MEC speaks for me? We have pilots. Also have over 3k apps on file.
Yes, I absolutely said, "My MEC speaks for me". They still do, it's how Unions work. So if we say this falls short, they will go back to management and relay that message. How is that hard to understand? There were 3300 different asks, some issues important to me didn't get solved and I don't agree with what was put out. Not to mention the implementation of this CBA is so diluted, we wouldn't see the major improvements until half the contract has gone by. I'll vote no. That how this works.

Doesn't make sense for a lot of people, but one of the highest if not the industry highest. With the new work rules you could use your vacation (as little as a week of days) and only work 6-7 days that month. Easy to figure out when you call a rep and ask for a detailed description. Everyone needs to quit bashing and do your homework first. Yes the "retro" sucks, but go ask a rep what they actually wanted to give and what they were going to take away if ALPA kept pushing the retro. Doesn't mean you should vote yes or no, just go get information before being an emotional A$$. Thats for everyone, not just the one Im responding to
I don’t think any of the 30 even remotely understand section 25

Outside guy here looking in… looks like an easy no vote.
Retro alone, rewarding company for dragging this out?
Hourly rates aren’t terrible but there is much more than that.
Sorry this doesn’t bode well for the industry if it passes.

Says a management shill who wants us to rush this contract so they can start the stock buy backs. There's no reason Alaska's stock should be languishing in the low 40s. As soon as we start the buy backs and paying dividends, the stock will climb back into the 60s. That's why OTZ wants you to hurry up and vote yes. That's the November surprise.

Same. This was their tipping point on whether or not they wanted to jump ship. If it passes, they don't want to stick around.
