I've been around a while, and am not negative leaning. I didn't think this was going to happen until next year. I have been, and continue to be impressed with the current union leadership (seen lots worse).

And to be fair, credit to the company - even though this move is to try to stem attrition, attract newhires, remain competitive with the industry. They still stepped up to the plate to do the right thing.

how small that you slammed our NC that did this for us. Tomorrow you will probably be slamming them again because is wasn’t Delta +1.

Nobody’s gloating. Like the other thread pointed out, maybe people not only at this airline but at other airlines too, are sick and tired of the constant negativity. You people **** on Cush, Frances, Weatherly, Forte, Tilden and even your own union. If anyone even breathes or whimpers a sign of optimism, you all make sure to them feel stupider and beneath you.

The company stepped up, and the pay rates are in line with your peers. This should stop attrition to a grinding halt. But to be honest, a good lot of you will put on your Costco pants, Aldo shoes and Up and Up jackets and tell your FOs tomorrow to go to another airline.

I’ll be the first to admit that for the first time in their history, they actually did the right thing. Of course they did it for their own selfish reasons. But still they did the right thing.

Do you remember all the banter on here when B6 got 330 and HA got 329…. Remember how badly we sucked, how much better they were, even though we had profit sharing and were making more with that included 🤔
So now we got 340 plus profit sharing that blows HA and JB out of the water… but not for the angry 30, it’s to hard for them. 340hr plus likely 7.8% profit sharing = 367hr. How about being nice and welcoming towards the new guys. They will really have a wonderful career here at Alaska Airlines. It’s a great company to work for. GROW UP!

MAGIC!

If attrition was over a few $$$ in payrates then that was misguided all along. It’s mostly just the market place right now and if you’re remotely interested in WB flying, bases across the country, quick upgrades, then the worlds your oyster as a pilot at the moment. Attrition at the majors is at record levels as well as pilots get a CJO from an operation that allows them to live where they want.

Happy to see the AK pilots get to market rate nontheless. Congrats!

Go out and buy your flight attendants a round. They’re 6th in pay rates and way behind everyone else.
