Years? Give me a break…another ultra dramatic post from you.

I’m not saying they will be able to get that many in the door or keep them all around permanently, but Alaska is looking to hire 600 next year, that’s going to put any new FO on property now, in a decent position to be a lineholder with a schedule they like.

I’d say more like MONTH’S..

Oh the annual “we’re hiring 600 next year” line that never happens.

“Looking to hire” is the operative phrase.

Yet we have roughly 400 to 500 more on our list than when I was the plug in 2017. Actual list growth has averaged less than 100 a year over the last 6. It would be reasonable to give them a break for the COVID years, but they definitely don't deliver anything near what they promise. A new hire that sticks around would likely see pretty brisk seniority advancement for the first 18 to 24 months as half of those hired just prior to them leave. After that it's stagnation city for a long time.

Once the Airbus transitions are done they could hire 600 a year, the question is how many will stay. My wild guess is half.

Last year They said they wanted to do 500/600 this year….

It’s not going to be even close to that. I doubt we do anywhere close to 600 next year either.

Jan thru July 289 are shown as hired. That would be at a rate totaling about 500 for this year.

Yawn. Just some rain here on the coast. That didn't look weather induced to me.

thats assuming the rate of hiring is going to continue the rest of the year. It’s already been stated they won’t be doing that. Didn’t Scott just say we’re hiring something like another 70 later this year and that’s it.

transitions are taking up the school house for the rest of summer/early fall.
