Incorrect! ALPA didn’t say that they are “advocating”, they said on that Podcast that they “expect it since that was the intent”… it better happen (ALPA would never lie) because UAs1st year CA pay is higher than our current $306 AND with that you will see some CA’s make the jump especially if they live in one of UAs bases and their short upgrade time.

UA rates plus essentially DEC opportunity for my base has me seriously considering. Not a thought process I ever would have expected to be having this many years in but it's real... I can't just look away and pretend it's not there.

It would all have to be voted in correct? Do you really think AA will vote in their current AIP, considering was UA has on the table?

The AIP includes this clause “These pay rates will increase by 1% immediately after Delta exercises their Snap Up provision. After these Snap Ups complete, Delta and United Pilot pay rates will match (1% higher than this table)”
How long will it take for Delta to exercise their Snap Up provision? At that point, Delta and United will be tied at $343.66.

My understanding is that United’s contract won’t be ratified before September 1st.

if everyone has contracts (in my hypothetical southwest at 360 tfp conversion) we will snap to 353 in 2024
still behind DL UA AA but lucky we can start negations at the end of 2024 so not all hope is lost but still a bummer we will miss this years wish.com snap clause

It is less disappointing if you call it what it is. A blended average market adjustment. We do not have a snap-up provision. That is a specific term that applies to the language that the major airlines have. Just like a signing bonus should not be called retro pay. I would be disappointed if Alaska Airlines applied something outside of our contractually 86% approved language. If our 86% approved language is met to the letter then we get that and if it is not then we get 318 as we should. And not a dime more
