I don’t think it’s quite as busy as the GEG-SEA commute, but it’s up there and there’s a fair amount of competition for the jumpseat(s). You’d have to look at mainline vs. QX/OO frequency to get a clearer picture as well.
I’m with Jet on this; if you have a choice and you’re gonna be commuting to SEA anyway, probably best to try for Big D. That said, you’ll still have an awesome career if you decide to go AS. Best of luck! Great time to be in the industry!

While I can’t speak directly on commuting from BOI, I do know quite a few people who do (or have at least met them while working). I’d say it’s one of the more popular places people commute to/from. Perhaps an actual BOI commuter will chime in?

Thanks for the info guys. I grew up in Washington and always figured I'd be an Alaska pilot when I retired from the air force. Now the time is here and I'm realizing how hard of a decision it is to make with so many options available these days.

Not quite… there is a bonus in there that is about 1/6th of that 304k… I know it’s hard for you to believe but that doesn’t mean it’s all that hard! About 160+or- a month… yup that’s what I have been doing.
I don’t think there is any merger on our horizon, AS was definitely talking to BA about 787, and we will absolutely snap up in September!
And you will always be sad, angry, and bitter!
