Having lived under the “Alaska Pilot Discount” program that has been nurtured, sustained and voted for by Alaska Pilots for all these years I probably have no clue what I am talking about…

LAX Seniority - 320 phase out
What are your thoughts on the LAX base seniority after the 320 phaseout in September? Will there be displacements? Upgrade time? Anyone hear of added 737s to replace the 320s or is all the growth planned in SFO? Thanks

But you come off as very condescending about the whole thing…you very much seem to like to tout that since you’ve worked for “five”(now defunct airlines mind you), that you clearly know
more than all of us….
I’m not going to mention how many airlines I’ve worked for in the past, as I don’t really care and probably no one else does either. In fact maybe we even worked at some of the same in the past? However, to say that they ALL had better QOL than Alaska in all aspects is laughable, and clearly indicates the chip on your shoulder. In addition if you hate it here and complain so much but don’t want to leave, how come you’ve never joined any ALPA committees to try and change things then?? Ah I forgot, much easier to just come on APC and complain.

That remains to be seen. Could get ugly if there aren’t enough LAX Boeing vacancies. Airbus seems to have way too many pilots and far too few lines. If that’s the remaining flying brought to LA Boeing, there are way more pilots than there were lines. Let’s see how it goes, but a gut feeling says they add more SFO and SEA and not enough LAX.

And all of the airbus pilots will have displacement rights, so it will not matter whether the company adds vacancies in LAX: assuming sufficient seniority, they will be able to displace their way in to 737 LAX.
SFO will most assuredly be the junior base.
Cheers - Rob.

See here you go making assumptions. You know what they say about that. I have been an ALPA volunteer for the last 26 years. I am currently on an ALPA committee. I have been trying to make life better here. Unfortunately it’s an up hill battle with this pilot group. As for my comments on APC, they are my own and I stand by them. My QOL was MUCH better prior to ending up at AS. Not sure why that ****es you off so much.
oh cool, but you hate your fellow pilot group. Nice🫤

You think you're trying to be an ambassador to prospective hires, but you're really showing how intolerant Alaska pilots can be if you don't think the right way. If you don't drink the Kool-Aid, Alaska pilots will brow beat anyone until you either quit or submit into agreement.
It's not as good of a look as you think it is.
