True lol.

The real truth is, we were first, the contract stayed competitive through the entire length of the contract while we watched the rest of the industry follow, and now we are heading into a JCBA and subsequent CBA and we are in a much better position to negotiate both of those because of it. I am not sure if this can even remotely be argued and countered. Especially when you look at the state of the industry at the moment.

I didn't sell anything (I stick with conventional wisdom on holding long-term assets) but did buy in with some cash on hand. Timing worked out, just barely. Better to be lucky than good sometimes.

Lot of folks voted yes to lock in PBS, and scope in case of a merger (gee that would never happen). Personally I wanted PBS asap, and was willing to fall back on the snap up clause for pay to get it.

Also if we had voted down the TA, we *probably* could have gotten TA 2.0 signed, sealed, and delivered by Fall of 2023... but it would have been close, and if it dragged out until the door plug and the dramatic hiring downturn, we might have been stuck for a while. And who knows what the company would have done once they knew for sure that they were proceding with HAL, might have just put us on the back burner until JCBA (and they knew about HAL long before we did).

In hindsight, voting No would have been risky, with big potential downside.

Real question, what really could we have gained? What is missing in this CBA?

The 2.5 pay on a travel day for CQ needs to go. If I’m working I should be entitled to my min 5 a day.

Among other things

Agreed, and things that can be worked on under the new CBA.

SFO based. I went to CQ in June and was paid 5.0 for each travel day.

Cancelation makeup and the ambiguity regarding makeup assignments continues to be unacceptable and the lack of premium pay for reassignments that occur prior to leaving base is also at odds with the philosophy of protecting trip ownership.

A snap up, not a snap average.
