I literally took a book from your playbook. You have no freaking idea what is going on yet you throw darts in every direction hoping to hit something so you can look cool on an internet forum. The fact that airlines grow, shrink, hire, and furlough all at some point allows you to always be right about something. You say absolutely nothing profound, nothing of value, it is all speculative, and it is all in hopes that you can say "told ya so" on APC. AAL stops hiring and doomsday baseless OZ1 predictions come out.
AAL stopping hiring means NOTHING yet. UAL stopped then started again. AAL is going though a major leadership shakeup so unless they plan a major pivot that they haven't announced yet, the expectation is to resume hiring. This is how logic works, you should try using it at some point.

OK, I’ll bite, 57 downgrades this fall!

In terms of schedule flexibility including pick up? SWA easily. A quick glance and the reserve report shows many on PLC with well over 60hrs for the month and a few over 70. In my base. I've already mentioned it but not everyone can live in the base of golden children. It's cool you guys aren't getting called out on reserve and getting extra pay for an unused conversion while SEA reserves cover your bases trips. I can't see that lasting forever but with the way things have been going at scheduling maybe they could. Who knows.

Lol. Everyone at Southwest is on a 2 hour callout. Senior people at Southwest don't bid reserve. We can move reserve days up to 24 hours prior, don't think anyone else can do that. Also it's not just PDX reserves that aren't getting thrashed, it's pretty much every base other than SEA.

Oh wow yeah I forgot that massive improvement in our rules where we gained an extra 30 minutes on short call. My bad.The last time I did a deep dive on other airline's contracts was when reserves were kicked in balls with a complete over reaction and blocked out of picking up on days off. Since that work rule hasn't even made it into the contract. Fun fact: our 15 minute call back rule is just a handshake agreement as well. There is no defining protections for reserve in the CBA when it comes to a missed call. I don't have time to pour over contracts again just to counter your cherry picking of living in the base of golden children. You have to have empathy for other people that for example can not trade a single day of reserve due to staffing. Trading days up to 24 hrs in advance means nothing when you can't trade days at all.

Usually when these things happen, the forums get flooded with folks interviewing/in the pool and so far, crickets.
I also just checked our training site, which was updated a few days ago, that lists classes beginning July 23rd and continuing throughout the year. Seems odd they would take the time to update classes mere days before they cancel said classes for the rest of the year.
