Actually my comment was in reference not to softening demand, cutting block hours, etc, but to the ridiculous “incentives” they are offering to try to get people to take an LOA. Anyhow, I think your position is clear, you are content at Alaska Airlines, good for you.

Well yes I am content here. If I wasn't content, my app would be in at DL, UA, or AA. What do you think I'd do, stay here and endlessly moan and complain about all things Alaska? Doesn't sound like a positive healthy thing. If you aren't content here, leave and go make yourself happy at the carrier you envision happiness. And I don't mean you personally, the collective you to whoever is still pis$ed post Sept 1st payraise.

To answer your question, the fine line is when it becomes incessant. The same talks before the contract, the same talks after the contract, and then again during negotiations. Rinse/repeat.
