Oh you mean like VX? Lol

i think consolidation will be 100% contingent on the severity of the recession these next couple years. More severe=more consolidation.

There will be a MEC vote tomorrow, I have been told, there is one solid NO in the group, maybe this thing never makes it out of committee. That in my mind would be a travesty. My opinion, but we have two in our midst, that are more set on future National positions, then The AS pilot group. I think they receive more recognition the more we fight, the more contentious this battle becomes. Frankly, many have been fighting for so long, I have to wonder if they will ever be able to let go.

I was told Mesa has put together a deal to buy QX… Yes, Mesa. I have recently heard whispers that they are now having trouble financing that deal🤔

I have said all along, my guesses on consolidation are based on breadcrumbs and tea leaves. I am confident AS has had multiple discussions with multiple carriers. LUV made a lowball offer, B6 wanted control and brand, UAL is very interested but the DOT and It’s head, strongly oppose that deal. HAL has been tried multiple times with no success. From where I sit right now, my best guess is we make a formal offer to buy HAL this November. I wouldn’t be surprised if this causes UAL to make a bid for AS.
What’s so special about November?? Your birthday month?

The reality is there isn’t a month that goes by at any airline where there isn’t a merger/buyout/acquisition isn’t being floated/received/considered by the execs.

I am hearing the same thing. If our MEC approves, we should have the details ASAP. Everybody I have talked to, in the know, says we will be very happy with the results. Whatever that means…

These discussions always remind me of this scene.

I heard something completely different, all me peeps in know said strike imminent. We only had one yes vote, all the reps are getting management positions and we have elect new reps and start from scratch. But no worries because they also said Alaska is selling to Mesa. Watch out for September 31, huge announcement. Man hope I can remember how to fly the CRJ200.
cliff notes
no contract
union bad
mesa good
CRJ200 memory items

Is this your sh!tty attempt at humor? Mark my words, we will have a TA out in the next 7 days. Probably much sooner.

Words marked. 7 days. September 29th deadline. I sincerely apologize for making an attempt at humor at the expense of Anonymous posters with “inside info”. I am ashamed to have been skeptical of your predictions, or OTZ for that matter. One day I hope to be as serious and have as much “inside info” as both of you. I hope and pray you find it in your heart to forgive my flagrant violation of Airline Pilot Central’s decorum.

Writing ridiculous drivel in an attempt at humor doesn’t make you funny. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s see what comes of the Special MEC meeting tomorrow. Will has already said there will not be much of a delay, if any, between MEC approval and release of TA details to the pilot group.

I for one, appreciate the advanced heads up. I do not appreciate the attempts to preload the TA discussion in favor or against.

The TA should stand on its merits alone. And not the MEC trying to sway sentiment with "insider" early reviews.
