He’s a nobody trying to be a somebody… just trying to stay relevant. Poor guy can’t let it go 🤣 but I guess it’s hard when you’re used to working so much. Oh and don’t forget, November! (what a joke)

From the NC email 9/16: “We will give your representatives on the MEC a more detailed update next week; and when the time is appropriate, the MEC will re-convene to make sure pilot goals and priorities have been met before agreeing to a tentative agreement.”
Sounds like this meeting was in the works and is another cross-check to make sure that things are on the right track.
Optimistic that something comes out sooner rather than later, but I’d much rather wait and have it done right.

I was very specific about my verbiage on September, 16th. NOTHING has materially changed in the comprehensive deal given by the company to the NG last Friday. The NG, MEC, and Alpa National have been reviewing and proving, the new language and the economics of that deal. The deal, most certainly was done, last Friday. There will be a MEC vote tomorrow, I have been told, there is one solid NO in the group, maybe this thing never makes it out of committee. That in my mind would be a travesty. My opinion, but we have two in our midst, that are more set on future National positions, then The AS pilot group. I think they receive more recognition the more we fight, the more contentious this battle becomes. Frankly, many have been fighting for so long, I have to wonder if they will ever be able to let go.
I was told Mesa has put together a deal to buy QX… Yes, Mesa. I have recently heard whispers that they are now having trouble financing that deal🤔
I have said all along, my guesses on consolidation are based on breadcrumbs and tea leaves. I am confident AS has had multiple discussions with multiple carriers. LUV made a lowball offer, B6 wanted control and brand, UAL is very interested but the DOT and It’s head, strongly oppose that deal. HAL has been tried multiple times with no success. From where I sit right now, my best guess is we make a formal offer to buy HAL this November. I wouldn’t be surprised if this causes UAL to make a bid for AS.
