It’s done. NC has achieved everything they have asked for… are we now going to try and move the goal posts or are we just scared to TA it? Yeah, look at it this weekend, what is up… put it out to a vote. This is the first time I have been disappointed in the NC, what are you afraid of!

Could be just playing a game of odds. If the TA does get announced this week, you know who’s gonna take credit for calling it and how you were all doubters. I also get the feeling a TA is imminent, and would definitely not discount the possibility that we’ll get the good news text this week. Still, I wouldn’t go on APC to announce it prematurely.
But he is correct about one thing: grab the popcorn

I read his post as being done and being reviewed, implying an AIP? And that once they sit down and go over the overall draft then it'll become a TA? Not sure. I'll wait for the text.
So was it Hawaiian or United that was supposed to be in September, now pushed off to November?

“We are making progress; we would not continue meeting if that were not the case. We will give your representatives on the MEC a more detailed update next week; and when the time is appropriate, the MEC will re-convene to make sure pilot goals and priorities have been met”….
This is the very last thing that the neg. com. said. It sounds as though there is significant work left on the hard stuff. Which is how Alaska Airlines inc always negotiates….Ben and Shane still want a “Deal”…Like they are at the car lot. Does not sound imminent in any way…OTZ needs to smoke a little muktuk and back it down…

I'm really getting the feeling that OTZ has no idea how any of this works. Or he's used to it working the way it has in the past when things were ram rodded down the pilot groups collective gizzard. Which is why we are all in such a frankly awful situation at the moment.

I think everyone should listen to the podcast and read the most recent email sent out by the NC Friday. It sounds like things are settled but there is a ton of admin work to do. The proposals have to be modeled to see how they work in all of the complex situations they are put through in our dynamic work environment. The language has to be finalized so a tank can't be driven through it the way our old contract seems to work. The MEC has to review everything and decide to put it out for a vote. It's going to take a long time for us to get educated on this contract and MEC officers will all have to be extensively briefed, if things are finalized before they vote. The NC has said almost dozens of times per podcast episode they don't want to hurry up and finish they want to get this right and also be as efficient as possible. It doesn't sound like they are going to skip any steps. There is a strong emphasis that this is the one time to really get things right. Even if they are done with proposals and have a working set of guidelines that are completed, they still have a lot to dial in.
