Every Delta pilot with my longevity wishes they had my retirement, most have less quality of life, many make the same as me, a few make more. I think it’s safe to say we are all doing well. I am confident many that left for DAL in less than 10 years will realize they are no better off… the only real winners would be those that maybe live east of Denver. Does delta pay for commuter pilot hotel’s?🤔
More days off, no cap on profit sharing, WB’s, more bases, larger fleet, schedule flexibility, more growth, great sick time. Commuter hotels I’d assume aren’t even needed. Making more money, means a hotel every once in a while won’t break the bank. You comparing yourself to Delta just shows how far out of touch with reality you really are.

Keep dreaming on the merger talk. Won’t happen.

In your career you will have something good someone else will not have at another airline. That’s how life works. You want to believe everything is perfect somewhere else, it’s just not true. They have wide bodies, I have a pension. We both have great jobs. Unhappy people only see the good things others have, they never see their problems only their own.

You realizes a lot of Delta pilots will retire having never been WB CA’s. Whether by age, basing, or quality of life, they will only ever be NB CA’s. Bases? I can’t think of an airline with worse bases than Delta? MSP JFK DTW ATL really? You can have them!

More days off is a lie… yup and every pilot at delta is a wb ca making 1 million a year🙄

Unlimited Premium over here
pension
Layovers
commuter hotels
training at home
sick time pays 100% on retirement
Can’t totally predict the future but in the last 15 years Alaska’s profit sharing has payed out an 6% more then Delta… that’s a lot of scratch… you should look into how many years Delta got 0 dollars and 0 cents for their yearly bonus 🤭

I would love to see an honest comparison of W2’s… I think it would surprise you

787’s are definitely coming!

787’s will be coming in 20 years. You’re correct.

Unlimited Premium over here (only 150%, limited green slips)
pension (for a very small minority, you're an ass for including this)
Layovers (visit beautiful Eugene!)
commuter hotels (for air commuters only)
training at home (sorry, everyone has computers now. JFC)
sick time pays 100% on retirement (if you have 300+ hours banked. Keep on grinding!)

Do you realize that WB CA at Delta is under 1 year right now? If you don't care about where or how you live... you can have it. So stop with the lies. It's not doom and gloom all the time, and sometimes you don't always win.

And that's fine. Alaska is what it is. Keeping up in the hourly rate is a great first step. Let's see what's next. I'll wait to hear from official sources, and not our local snake oil salesman. Thanks.

not all WB CA positions at Delta are equal. So no, WB CA at Delta is not that Junior.

" something more than the repetitive short sightedness garbage that is working for alaska airlines"

If it's garbage, why work here? That's kinda sad. You got $340 Sept 1 but the mindset stays the same. I can't imagine being angry and miserable for the rest of a working career. The big 3 are hiring, hopefully you can find happiness there. Because it's clearly not here...

Oh don’t worry I see about as much 2x as my friends at DAL. I can hold more 1.5x then I can honestly tolerate.

Not everyone has a pension, not every DAL pilot will be a WB CA.

Only hit Eugene on a 1.5 and a 2x charter. Food was awesome. Didn’t stay overnight. Pay was good😉
Point, Alaska pilots can fly as much HI flying as they want. Go to DAL, you will likely be able to count your journeys there on one hand.

You can’t pick up your yearly 3 day simulator on your ipad. How about all the transition training over there at DAL… yup, that’s all In beautiful ATL. That’s a lot of life my friend.
You can’t pick up a 2 hour sim session that pays 7.5 on your ipad either.

WB CA goes Junior in selective aircraft, out of selective bases, because it sucks. There are only so many WB CA’s at DAL, not everyone gets a pony. NB guys have a better quality of life and make more money than those poor fools. AWEFUL!

Look up the DAL historical profit sharing. Look closely at 2008 to 2022… ALPA gave it to you. You are either lazy, ignorant or most likely both.

You must be an awful insecure pilot. As bitter 😂 as you are, you should be gone. I guess you know, no other airline would touch a classy guy like you. RE, I feel so sorry for your family, they must be miserable being around you! Keep trying for DAL, you must be tier 5😱

Ok lets keep it real.

WB CA is one year only because the stubby 767 pays NB rates and has really bad QOL in one base.

If your goal is to be all over insta with four stripes and a big jet, then DL can offer that for you.

DAL is still a better proposition unless you're divorced with kids in PDX.
