I get the notion that “not every pilots wants to fly a widebody”, but when you look at the amount of flexibility the big 3 have vs what we offer? It’s a really tough sell. Especially when you see junior line holders at DAL and UAL with 18 days off a month.

I think the only other option we have at this point (apart from merger rumors) is new bases across the country.
Ok, ok, how bout a base in OAK? (with co-terminal of course).....

How would transportation work? Would the pilot be responsible for driving to both airports or just one and have a report time at that airport?

Company provided transportation would be OK, ish. But would be an absolute nightmare if the pilot was responsible for reporting at either airport.

It would work like LAX/SNA... the transportation and reporting language heavily favors pilots. Read the MOU.

Default Rumor in the Midwest.

Rumor out of the Sun Country flight decks is we could see Alaska buying us or offering to buy us again. Having 50 737-800’s and being able to stick it to the funny hat wearers. As well as our COO has ties to Alaska and was just in SEA.

who knows…. But, depending on what is trying to be accomplished…. This would make more sense.

More plausible than a HAL merger. If your COO is still JH then forget that relationship. He was exiled and then fired from ‘Alaska Air Group’

JH? He went the Mesa not Sun Country. GM is the COO of Sun Country and was the Alaska VP labor relations until 2018.

I stand corrected. Looks like he’s doing a phenomenal job over there.
