Eye roll.. at least they’re selling American flag pins too though. They/them as a concept is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. We will probably start to get written up if we miss pronoun someone because we missed their idiotic button

This is the kind of crap I’m so glad to get away from. Thanks for putting this out Shy!

How does this affect you in any tangible way unless you choose to participate?

Because it’s absurd. Nobody should be forced to live in clown world. Societal-norms have gotten us this far…it’s perfectly fine to live on the edges, but society will only function well when there are clear and centrist-minded standards for the masses. Life is more interesting with good, liberal side-streams - not everybody should “fit-in” to the mainstream, but do you really think it ends with these stupid pronouns? When the left is equating every day words with actual violence, I promise you this is a stroll down a road you don’t want to go.

The funny thing about those against progressive causes is that they always clamor "THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!"

But they're always light on the details. Please elaborate how you calling someone how they want to be called escalates into more.

Genuinely curious.

I say again: How does this affect you unless you choose to participate in it? Not rhetoric, not slippery slope fallacies, I want actual examples of how this could possibly affect someone who isn't interested in participating other than just getting angry for the sake of getting angry.

Compelled speech. That’s basically forced-participation, is it not? And don’t for a second assume my political affiliation. There are plenty of reasonable, centrist liberals out there that find the intellectual-weakness of the left alarming.

Language is compelled speech. We have all agreed that red thing on the counter is called an Apple.

Your argument is not grounded in anything other than your discomfort with change.

To what extent are we expected to participate in someones subjective self reality? Will we get disciplined if we refer to someone against their preferred pronoun and someone overhears it?
