If you think calling your trans flight attendant a "she" will lead to pedophilia, then I think that's a you problem.

I just don't get what the point is of having a he, she, or a they/them pin. Suppose one wears a "they/them" pin. What do you want me to do? Can't I just call you by your first name in JetPack? That's what I always do.
And what's proper English now? They or Them can now refer to one individual. So say we're waiting in the van for this individual. Would you say "Is they coming?" or would you say "Are they coming?" Asking because I'm legit curious, I just don't know. I would default to my usual "Is [person's first name] coming?" because that is the most neutral / safe option these days.
Here's another thing I don't understand. Why state what is already obvious? By this, I mean I have seen a female name sign an email with "she/her/hers." Ok, but wasn't that obvious? If it was Jane Doe then the she/her/hers is pointless info added. Now, if this was John Doe, and I see a "she/her/hers" then this is a nice heads up that this individual obviously is female, or at least, prefers female pronouns. And then you could act accordingly and call them what they prefer. But what point is it to put a pronoun at the end of your name when it already matches your name? Eg, I'm a male, I think my name is clear enough as a male, there is no point for me to put "he/his/him" in my signature.

"yOuRe JuSt PrOjEcTinG" You can't answer the question. Why can't an old person be a young person if they believe they are? Why aren't you willing to accommodate that? Age is way less important than perceived gender.

And cancel culture / get someone fired is real. That I don't agree with.
For example, if someone signed their email with:
-First name Last name
Preferred pronouns: I/don't/care
I fully expect at minimum a HR meeting and at maximum, fired.
Same thing if someone ever did this joke:

There are examples of identity bending everywhere. You're just earmarking this one because it's the new hot topic. Like gay marriage was 8 years ago. You still outraged about that? Or have you moved on?
10 years from now you won't give a crap about he/she/they. That's how progress works.
As to ShyGuys pedantry, yes the English language is inadequate at the moment and will have to evolve. Don't worry, the next generation will figure it out.

"Don't call me sir." Old trying to be young is a tale as old as time.

I don't even have a problem with calling someone by their preferred pronoun, I'm probably one of the nicest guys you could ever fly with. The problem I have, like others, is compelled speech.
"10 years from now you won't give a crap about he/she/they. That's how progress works." You're probably right. At the current rate of "progress" there will be issues far more important to worry about.
You still haven't answered my question, why can't people recognize an older person as a younger person if they believe they are?

It was a joke. And if you equate transsexuality in the same category as my Grandma's birthday then I highly recommend you work on your politeness. Because disdain for other people is easily detected.
No one is getting fired as long as you're earnest and make a good faith effort to respect each other.
