For some people, even a video wouldn't enough because she was probably "asking for it" since she was probably "flirting" with a married man. People like that have some serious problems with women. Maybe they got dumped by the hot girl in high school and never got over it. Or they had a bad divorce & therefore all women are gold diggers to them. Those people will never change their minds no matter how this case turns out.
Then there are the people that think she is covering up drinking inside 10 hours. That is possible, but why would she sue if she was allowed to return to the line?
Right now the only thing people who don't believe her have to go on is the lack of a police report. Unfortunately, women are not taught what to do when they are raped (it is sad that they need to be). This is a common thing in rape cases. Failure to file a police report right away is NOT UNUSUAL or SUSPICIOUS. It (sadly) is the NORM. You arguing that is the same as a talking head on the news talking about an aircraft accident.

While she did not file a police report, she did tell the company & union. We have all been a new hire early in our 121 career at one point. Even the most cynical had a little cool-aid in them and it is easy to believe the company & union are there to help you. If they say, "don't speak to anyone about this to protect our brand" I can see a new hire doing just that.
To me, that is my biggest concern is that someone from Alaska told her that. I can see that for company policy offenses, but if a crime has been committed they need to get law enforcement involved. Hopefully, this will be a watershed moment and airline HR & legal departments will revise their policies.

This situation is like having a tire blow out on landing and ALPA and the company saying "Don't tell the FAA." Not doing so only makes it harder to prove the innocence of EITHER party.

I agree. That is what people SHOULD do. Unfortunately, humans are fallible. An error tolerant system should have systematic safety measures in place to account for humans not performing correctly in stressful situations. Kind of like the little card ALAP hand out for what to do and who to call if you get in an accident.

On the flip side, the Company put out the story of how an "enterprising" crew deiced an airplane in Russia using vodka from the liquor store.
P.S. Be careful which fire extinguisher you use in Magadan.

Not with this guy....I've know him for a long time. Not in his DNA at all. Were they together in the same room, maybe? But there's no way he drugged her. Sounds like a case of, 'What did I just do?' No drug test or police report? Sounds like a case of what just happened.
Baja.

The guy in the linked story was one of the nicest men I'd ever met in the USAF. Cared about his people and the job. Mild mannered, professional, good pilot, and a gentlemen. Oh yeah, he liked pictures and videos of kids getting effed. Never saw that coming... Again, I'm not making any judgement about this captain or the FO, but you don't necessarily know him as well as you think.
