Someone needs to be a voice of reason here.

Nobody is getting subpoenaed here unless they have first-hand knowledge of the events.
This is an important issue in general and it's probably helpful for many to learn what others may think (even if some of it's distasteful). Folks posting distasteful thoughts may benefit from learning what others think of their position.
Nothing is far enough off the rails to warrant closing this thread.
Also since the plaintiff is giving interviews in the media, there's case for protecting her privacy.

Edit: Don't you work for SkyWest? Why are you so personally involved in this anyhow?

But my eyes have been somewhat opened by my wife's experiences in the military. So I have come to the defense of the FO, in that others may not understand what was going on in her head in the immediate aftermath of something like this. At this point in time the lawyer is probably calling the shots.
My gut feel is that she's not making it up, although none of us know for sure, and may never know.

No to both.

But I've said my piece.

So they were drinking wine in the hospitality room and then both of them displayed behavior way out of character. Did they open that bottle of wine or was it already open when they got there? Is it possible they were both drugged?
What is the evidence there was any drugs other than alcohol in the first place. Blacking out solely from alcohol happens in numerous cases. I don’t see anyone blacking out from booze at less than a .2 BAC, however, so 7+ glasses of wine to get that drunk?

I'm alleging he made a bad decision when he left his room to go drinking that night. As did she. But this thread is overwhelmingly coming down on her as a slut and gold digger. She is someone who served her country, and according to those who know her, had a distinguished record doing so. I think bad decisions were made all around, but I'm speaking to the majority on this discussion coming down on her. So yeah. Both were wrong, lets $TFU and let the courts decide.

Furthermore from what I’ve seen, this forum is overwhelmingly quite fair and logical in its analysis/opinion of this event compared to what’s occurring on other news comment forums.
Just because something is uncomfortable to discuss doesn’t make it inappropriate or serving value to discuss. I don’t want to live in that world of censorship.

Her going public, is the hail-mary pass that other women come forward, without them, the case is dead in the water. In fact, everyone should reserve judgement until more evidence comes forward. The reasonable doubt in this case, is that she might have faced termination had she not been raped.
There would be no reason to go public with something like this, unless one was extremely ****ed off at the company for doing nothing. That is not to avoid termination. To avoid that, you drop the case, keep quiet and let it pass. Particularly if they aren't threatening you with being fired in the first place.

We aren't talking about a freshman girl at a frat party, with a frat bro. These are adults, who have most certainly drunk a fair amount of alcohol in their lives. She said she had two glasses of wine. Unless you think she is completely lying, people know how they react to two glasses of wine, tired or not. A couple of glasses of wine doesn't make anyone throw up and pass out, unless there's something else in that wine.
