Thanks for the update. One fleet of 737s makes complete sense economically which is why it will happen. Ergonomically for unimportant pilots (and for pax IMO) that would be a bummer..... Having spent time in the 737 jumpseat for longish flights, that cockpit gets tight real fast.
Although, for you, compared to the Netjets Phenom, I suppose the 737 would be super spacious. It's all relative.

The airbus is more comfortable, I'm sure, but most us will fly anything if the pay is right. The 737 cockpit isn't too bad but for a jump seater, it's not a nice place to be as you know. If the equipment is that important, lots of bus operators are hiring with better pay if you can get on. Otherwise, embrace the pain and welcome to the dark side my friend!

No one really knows for sure what the fleet will look like when it's all said and done. Everything always rests with the dollar, especially at the puzzle palace. I'm willing to bet that we will be single fleet eventually but anything is possible. Once again, $$ will dictate.

It would be beyond ridiculous to get rid of that amount of inherited lift simply to keep the "one fleet" costs savings intact.
If management is serious about that sort of fleet shake up, then anyone under the age of 40 needs to seriously evaluate their career potential at an airline that is willfully flatlining at best and downsizing at worst.

I think you all know the answer. You know who you are. It goes for both VX & AS.
1) Those who are willing and able to leave
2) Those who lack qualifications to leave
3) Those who will stay
No one has a crystal ball but the writing on the wall is pretty clear. You all got a taste of this management in action. Nothing will ever change around here. Misery loves company.
