Ha, yeah that was a good one.

I wasn't looking for the moon on the last TA, but seriously as a captain it offered me 0 anything. And if I get nothing out of a TA, then why would I vote yes? There has to be something that makes me want it. Since then we've seen some substantial increases in regional pay. Meanwhile we are struggling to staff and cancelling flights due to staffing. Maybe the company and mec tosses us another proposal worth diddly and we vote it down, or they wake up and get with the times (record profits) and pay us a substantial amount of $$ to get people here and to stick around more than a few months before they say F all these junior mans and go to endeavor. I do like the double pay for getting hosed and having it in open time has pocketed me some cash too. I'd love to help the company get new guys by raising 1st year pay and making it rain bonuses, but there's this whole pilot group thing that needs to be addressed in the form of pay before I'm a yes vote to anything. If I read a TA and it says status quo plus 1 percent or some other insulting value, the next coffee and conversion is going to be ugly. I hope that's not the case.

I agree with this whole heartedly. This is spot on.

And given the 2.5 years it has taken to get TA2, they obviously have a very different opinion.
A 2% increase in premium share is a concession. That is what makes it a concessionary contract.

1. A ten cent raise in per diem from 1.60 at the time to 1.70 would not have offset the increased cost of our insurance.

2. Per diem is not for covering healthcare expenses, its for covering meals on the road.

3. They raised per diem anyway.

So yes it was concessionary.

I never said it was concessionary. I said minimal gains with a trade off for healthcare premium increase, hence I used the word garbage.

Everyone has their own opinion, however the masses spoke with the last TA and it was a NO. If this one is just another spin off from the first with no major gains, it will hopefully also be a NO.

Anyone else see all the flights being given to other airlines? Can't imagine United is very happy with ZW. But by all means, lets continue like everything is fine, there's no staffing issue, and money isn't the issue. The ship is sinking again. Beware.

Where do you see our flying being given away? Publicly available?

Look at some routes today

ORD-GSO

1:55pm, ZW flight 3915 changed to 1346 by OO.

ORD-LNK

8:57am, ZW flight 4862 changed to 1345 by OO.
7:30pm, ZW flight 4842 changed to 1347 by OO.

They're filling in slowly. June our numbers or departures are half out of IAD.

We are unable to fulfill our flying with United. How is that going to go over?

Guess they better offer one hell of a contract to attract pilots to fly from A to B.

I can confirm it as well. The other day I had a typical long multi-leg scheduled day and I usually use the flight status option on the UAL app to track my flights to know about delays ahead of time to save leaving the hotel/home any earlier than needed. The night prior I received notice that all of my flights had canceled. On a forecasted blue sky day. So I went in to the app and saw that UA added back the same flight numbers and city pairs but operated by another UAX carrier. So the flights went just not on us. Minutes later Crew Scheduling called with a reroute for me. Spoke with another CA and FO that next day that have had this happen too. Seems like it’s a very recent thing. Can UAX carriers “trade/add/drop” with each other similar to us?
