It could result in a couple upgrades depending on how people have their permanent bid set up. If someone was holding out for a CA Line they could get an upgrade and a RSV would stay put.

The max backfill column. Basically they are moving people from RSV to lines without planning to replace the reserves with new upgrades thus cutting RSVs in half basically.

You get out what you put in. They don't hold your hand and push you though the program as fast as possible sticking captains with incompetent seat meat. Just don't come thinking it will be a vacation in Appleton, study and put in the work and they will see that you're trying. A lot of the training for me has payed off for using that knowledge on the line. They definitely aren't out to get anyone, they just want good pilots flying the line.

Making a choice logging hours priority
Hi guys,
Got offers from PSA, Envoy, Air Wisconsin and Republic. I'm 43 and I got a BS and MS in engineering. My priority is logging as many hours as possible in the first two years. Quality of life can wait. It's a bit depressing hearing all the negative stuff from pretty much every regional except for Endeavor which isn't an option since I can't wait till late summer to start training.
I'm still not grasping how the whole scheduling works (pbs, sap etc.) except that seniority is what rules it.
Constructive criticism is welcome.
Thanks.

We need FOs. If hired we are putting people in class as soon as possible from what I know. And as soon as you can finish SIM you'll be on IOE. Can there be training hiccups and delays? Sure. Most I heard of lately is one month but I've also heard we're catching up on that now. There certainly is no six month delay to starting training here. The newhire bonus is generous. And after IOE new FOs are flying hard. I don't hear of much sitting around.
