He’s a great recruiter. Got done with systems on Jan 19th. Got the call to go to CPT in Cincinnati 02-15-18. I got FO lineholder MKE while still in systems. Great instructors so far.

The bonus for the $26k is paid out along with the $8k after IOE. Its earned monthly over your first 24 months. If you leave after 20 months you pay back 4 months worth.

Sooooo...what’s the long-term viability of this place with what must be some of the highest time/cycle CRJs?

Those CRJ's have at least 10 years of life left. The company has also successfully navigated 6 fleet changes in the past.

170/175's, CRJ-700,-900, 145's, -8's all break just as much as the CRJ-200. When the -200's clap out, then AWA will probably just get a new fleet type and keep on trucking. Plus, it makes us laugh when we're asked if we are weight restricted. 95% of the time-> full boat with a jumpseater no problem.

What other regional has been around for 50+ years? When you least expect it, they defy the odds. The owners have more money than they know what to do with, but they invest wisely not foolishly.

Wrong way of putting it I think. In that case, any major that has a regional, non-WO partner is doing the same thing.

Yeah, that's how being a regional airline works. ZW makes a ton of money, they're not being propped up by a major carrier. Don't forget they bailed out US airways during the recession. US Airways to receive $125 million loan - Business - US business - Aviation | NBC News

Who’s gonna give up the scope for that? This isn’t 2002 anymore. If y’all want that kid of flying good luck getting mainline to vote that that in or hoping Skywest Loses a contract.

No one has to give up scope. We'd just need a better product than one of the other 76 seat carriers that fly for united.
