Wasted words and wishes. From what I understand, and if someone knows any different please jump in, everything is completed except for the pay rates. Rigs are staying the same, rules are staying the same, basically everything is staying the same. The only thing the company is doing is waiting as long as they can to save as much money as they can because they think the medical benefits along with new hire bonus money will allow them to recruit enough new hires to keep the seniority list deep enough to staff the UA planes.
In my opinion, I think both the company and the union are waiting to see what happens first quarter next year to see attrition numbers as the majors begin to hire again after the holidays as well as what the endeavor pay rates do to our indoc class numbers.
Don't hold your breath for anything great, but if anyone hears anything of value at coffee and conversation, please share.

The union is hoping to see American send those pay rates down to psa, envoy, and piedmont. The company knows not everyone is going to go to Endeavour so we dont need to match them since its only one airline. If Americans wholly owneds get those rates then the pressure really is on others to match. United will be forced to cough up some cash if they want to staff their regionals in the upcoming years. I hope these atrocious lines are just a result of the winter flying coupled with the transition. Otherwise, you might as well scrap all the workrules and focus on pay rates and pay rates alone.

I dont know about everything done but the rates. I think all of section 3 is open which is the compensation section. That includes more than just pay rates. Nonetheless, i think youre spot on saying not to hold your breath expecting something great.

New-hire pass rate is around 85%. As far as the exodus goes, I think it stagnated because we’re upgrading again.

More than half of them were new hires that did not make it through. There's also a lot of guys who waited for the last bonus to pay out before interviewing elsewhere and the first class offered to them at other regionals is march-may. There will still be a "mass exodus" coming. Guys aren't going to commute from PHL when they can flow through piedmont in a few years.

Then why haven’t they left for Piedmont already? What do they gain from staying here until Feb 1st? All I see is lost seniority numbers and longer time to get to AA if they stick around.
Maybe for flight attendants, but I’m not so sure about pilots. They would have interviewed this summer after the UA announcement and left after October bonuses were given out.

Because they aren't leaving in droves to pdt. I know of 1 maybe 2 pilots leaving to not commute. Realize some people will claim "60 fo's" leaving to spirit on xyz date as if they're Jim Jones but then tell you or me we're drinking the koolaid.

As I already said, they waited till the bonus paid out to interview, expecting to start 2 weeks later. Then they were told the first available class is in March or later.

How many FO's are even left in PHL? 20?! Let the 'mass' exodus begin!
