Business as usual. Sorry for the duplicate posts but thought it should be in both spots.

Speaking of upgrades, the 10 for November appear to have been canceled/delayed. Shocker....

My upgrade class is still on my schedule for October with a November staff date.

When is ORF closing?

I'm not seeing where upgrades have been canceled. Nothing in announcements or emails.

Who knows for sure. The company wont say peep about it hoping that every one will stay for as long as possible. That email and announcement didn't sound like it would be around after February. Talk to the CP down there, from what I hear they aren't even looking for crew room space over in the united terminal. I hope I'm wrong about this for all the good people down there in ORF.

Someone got junior manned today, huh?

No one is surprised about ORF. Everyone hoped it would not happen but everyone kind of knew it would. Do you just expect the company to keep it up with DH's in/out for the 'good people' in ORF? It's not the company's fault that United does not want 200's in ORF. It will close eventually. If you work for Delta, you can count on Atlanta. Jet Blue? count on BOS/NYC/MCO, American? Count on Dallas. But besides that don't go to an airline for a domicile especially at a regional. They open, they close. The sun rises the sun sets, its the way of things.

Sorry, you got but hurt.

Signed,

-I've been commuting 5+ years since RDU closed. Oh well.

Oh btw no upgrades have been cnlxd. Slightly delayed due to SIM availability? Yes. But they are still on the schedule.

Bases open and close. It's the airlines after all. I still miss the rdu base but that's life. Orf was only the most difficult base to commute in and out of with the worst schedules.

Looks like a 3 hour or so drive for most of those people living in ORF to make it to an IAD domicile. Terrible fate indeed.
