wasn't trying to brighten anyone's day. He didn't ask how many people would air wisconsin like to hire a month. If he did I would have said 75. The truth of the matter is there was a class of 5 and a class of 6 two weeks apart. That makes 11. How many of them make it through.... if history repeats itself and we are being hopeful. 7 or 8 will make it through.
It's a moving target anyway since we haven't had any numbers to speak of in the last 6 months or so until the UAL agreement came out so I would expect the number of people showing up and getting hired to pick up as we go along.

Okay, but technically all those you mention were hired. The fact they didn't make it through training or lied on their app and got fired afterward is a different statistic. Useful info perhaps, but different. Maybe I'm splitting hairs here but I guess it would also be helpful to know why he wants to know. We are losing what, 30+ a month right now.

Increase in hiring bonuses should show that we're falling short.
End of the day, there's still no contract. They're 'just' 50 seaters. This company continues to junior man, reroute, and abuse the pilots to make ends meet. There's absolutely no quality of life if you're a junior first officer because of that. The whole idea that this announcement and meager bonuses would be the end all magic fix to those in toon town is laughable. It's getting worse before it gets better, maybe more bodies will make it better, but clearly if they're willing to almost double incentive bonuses, we are falling short of the hiring goals and that should make people nervous.

They can meet with the union to negotiate a new CBA. I have no doubt thats coming but the company dragging its feet isnt helping them attract new pilots.

All I'm saying is, like everything else, too late to really course correct this. And the junior line pilots are paying the price.

Exactly, finish the CBA. Bonuses are great for new hires, but it certainly isn't doing anything to keep people here that otherwise, might consider it. Increase the retention bonuses.

So the company really has two choices:
1) Agree to a new contract that the pilot group will ratify, which is going to have to include some great incentives for both CAs and FOs in order to pass
2) Continue to drag their feet on a new contract and watch as CAs and FOs make for the door at the rate of 20-30 a month while only getting 5-10 off IOE.
The way I see it is we can either get a contract with pay raises, retention bonuses, and better QOL rules, or we can vote down any other contract not to our liking and watch as the company continues to hemorrhage pilots.
Every day that goes by is more power we have at the bargaining table.

You can certainly credit 95 with the mandatory 12 off. 5 in a row, probably not. Once you gain seniority and we have pilots again (read "lines quit sucking") then yes, up to 10 off in a row is possible.

Edit- and that is after you are a line holder. Reserve sucks of course, like every airline.
