Conflicting information from someone who is not employed at said company. This is why it is necessary to disregard your posts.

Plus it's till the end of 2015, not 2014. First extension goes till the end of 2017.

The warn act simply states that if the mass layoff is a result of an ending project or undertaking, ie contract ending, for which the employees were hired, the warn notice dosent apply. Its right there in black and white..Hope it dosent come to that but who knows .
And yes its 2015 not 14.I agree with that.

Speed, the truth shall set you free !! I have love and respect for you , and what I say is highly opinion based I get it but so is every one else on here including you and some of your posts. No one has a crystal ball and can see exactly what Awac is going to do but expect the best but prepare for the worst is all I'm saying. Either way good luck to you.

Read it again.

Then read it a third time.

The pertinent part is "What Triggers Notice" -> "Mass Layoff".

EOS Airlines provides recent legal precedent.

The WARN notice doesn't pertain if you are a contract employee hired for a specific contract/project.

When hired is AWAC telling people it's a temp gig and the contract is up on XX date? If no, the WARN act applies.

Moving on...

Going anywhere is a gamble. Get your upgrade ASAP, some TPIC, become a check airman, and don't look back. Lots of hiring in the near future.

I know a guy at awac...he has been at a number of other airlines. He does not have apps out at all...think he I'd waiting to get his 1000PIC.HE LIKES AWAC.

WARN Act: they have to give 60 days notice, and AWAC will, because they are a good company. I know a private company that did not. They were forced to payout money and their corporate council was fired.
