What was out of context? It may have been cut up but nothing more was learned by your post. I didn't misrepresent anything. It is spewing the same rhetoric as we have heard before but all in one unexplained email.
The question that needs to be addressed is how we go about doing what is stated in the email. It seems pretty damn impossible seeing as how EVERYONE is having difficulty staffing. We are already short staffed, how are we going to manage to catch up, grow, and sustain our numbers so that we will achieve the 65 aircraft in the air for united.
Just to be clear, we currently have roughly 500 on property, we need to upgrade to Mao rain 305 captains on properry. Jr man calls and extentio s are happening again regularly(not as bad as it was before, but an increase from last month). This means we need to hire at least 100 go's to catch up. Add normal attrition, which seems to be approximately 20 or so per month. Even if we managed to get 30 per month in class that still doesn't come close to the numbers we need.
So again, HA. And thank you for clearing up any misundertanding by my actions of not posting the email in its entirety, and thereby not informing people of what is really going on here.

If we can upgrade new hires in 18-24 months, awesome!
If not, the company comes off as misleading.
