But, if you cut that working guy from 5 days a week to 4 days a week, thus cutting his pay, and blamed him for needing the money that he is willing to work for, then you are part of the problem.
Cutting everyone back to minimum guarantee is not acceptable. For the average captain, you are taking about $800 a month out of their bank accounts.

Worse for me means 4 hour sits, A/C swaps, double deadheads, uncommutable lines.
I'm all for working less and getting paid but when you have a 12 hour duty day and only get paid for 5.5 hours, that's frustrating.

Yup. We chose a career where we have a great deal of responsibility and make more money for it.

There is no pay cut here, you applied to an airline where the monthly pay was 75 hours a month. That's it. You work more you get paid more.
I'm not sure how you're doing math but $800 for the "average captain" is like 10 hours. So pick up one critical STL turn and call it a day. And if $800 breaks your budget, your doing it wrong in the first place.

This is why I came after you so hard for talking out of your a-s last time. I dare you to say this to your next captain that complains about their 25% pay cut. And be sure to tell him about that 200% trip you picked up, because I guarantee you they aren't being offered that.........

The logistics of new domiciles, moving expenses, phantom bids, operations shifts, training changes will take time though. I don't see it happening before September.
Just be sure to audit your paycheck.

Alright. Where do I even begin with this one...
If you work for the same employer for 20 years getting paid 100 hours per month, but now the employer says "oh hey Carl from now on you can only credit 75 hours per month", what happens to your take-home pay? It gets CUT..

Yup. We aren't the only career where people have a great deal of responsibility. Oh and those positions also pay similarly or less at the end of the year.

This guy... assuming we all live pay check to pay check and that's why we miss the money... obvious under achiever. I'm losing probably 800/mo in 401k contributions alone from averaging 108-120 credit hrs per mo to just getting 75hr guarantee. You obviously have no money management skills beyond just paying the bills. Some of us are trying to invest and save for down the road and the current situation is crap at zw. Not to mention that for the only guarantee we get 4 and 5 am start times, 12 hr days and 11hr overnights.... that enjoyable.
