Maybe this is just me but I think going somewhere that has growth or a outlined future as opposed to one that hasn't given so much as a peep to what's going on a year from now that determines if a quite a few people might need to file for unemployment sounds a little more secure and less risky. But hey I'm sure all those ASA planes have awacs name on them right?

Endeavor Truth: I know a lot of your pilot group is coming to Endeavor and we are excited to have your experience in our pilot group. The word is that recruiters are telling people that they could upgrade straight out of initial or after OE.
A little truth about how things are going. Endeavor hired classes of 20+ (2 classes per month) starting in June of last year and those pilots are starting to hit their 1000 hours of 121. Since June the monthly hiring numbers have averaged around 50 per month. That is over 600 FOs with 50 per month starting to hit their 1000 hours so that will be a rolling 50 per month that will be eligible for upgrade.
Currently we have pilots with over 1000 hours of 121 that were hired in spring of 2016 that have not been awarded upgrade, so I hope you have proper expectations for upgrade at Endeavor. If you have heard about July 16 hire getting upgrade, that is true but it was a return to work pilot and Endeavor has a 1000 company time required for upgrade that can be waived if the vacancy can not be filled with pilots that have the 1000 company time.
The DGI requires Captain for 2 years and if it takes 2 years to upgrade then you will be 4 years from DGI and a college degree is currently required to interview under the DGI program.
I am not trolling for pilots - just making sure the truth is told. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

I would be very wary of basing your life plan on upgrading like that because things change overnight at the regionals. Literally overnight. But even if you don't upgrade immediately you still get a $30,000 first year bonus which is pretty nice.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. It's not just one return-to-work from the spring who upgraded. Everyone with 1000 hours of 121 time is upgrading right now including multiple people from as late as fall 2016 (!).

Endeavor upgrade policy is 1000 121 and 1000 company. Company time can be lowered to fill a vacancy and they have not lowered company time to 0 at any point this year to fill a vacancy. And that is a fact.
I would love to have more AWAC guys here and have them upgrade as that puts them on reserve for a long time and gives others the chance to hold a line, but I sure do not want them to come to Endeavor on false expectations.
You are all smart professionals - ask for the proof if you want quick upgrade. If you want a great company, with great pay and an improving quality of life and upgrade in 18-24 months then come to Endeavor. We will be honored to have you.
Believe who you will but be informed.

In accordance with the pilot contract (JCBA), the normal minimum qualifications for Upgrade to any Captain position are:
Twenty-five hundred (2,500) total flight hours, and
At least one thousand (1,000) flight hours at Endeavor taking into account the amount
that can be assumed between the date of the bid and class date.
However, if no Pilot meets the above minimum requirements needed to qualify for a Vacancy, or if no Pilot bids to fill the Vacancy who meets the above minimum requirements, the Company shall fill the Vacancy by reducing the minimum experience levels (to those required by FAR) until such time as it has a sufficient number of Pilots to fill the vacant position(s).
In accordance with FAR 121.436, the following summarizes the minimum flight time required by regulation to bid for a Captain position at Endeavor:
1,000 hours of flight time derived from any combination of the following:
Second in Command (SIC) operating under part 121.
Exercising the privileges of an Airline Transport Pilot certificate as required for
Pilot in Command (PIC) of a multi-engine, turbine powered fixed wing airplane operating under:
Part 91(K) - FAR 91.1053 (2)(i)
Part 135 - Passenger Operation (Cargo N/A) - FAR 135.243 (a)(1)
Up to 500 hours of military flight time obtained as pilot in command of a
multiengine turbine powered, fixed wing airplane in an operation requiring more than one pilot may be credited toward the 1,000 hour minimum.
For clarification, the online bid form used for reporting total time will be revised from “121 time” to total time under the provisions of 121.463 which can include any combination of the above.
