ALPA hasn't done a thing yet.

Hate to break the news to you, but ALPA runs neither Whisky nor AA. If AA isn't renewing the flying, not much ALPA can do about it, save make sure you have an easy interview somewhere else.

And given that AA WO'd carriers are all opening domiciles in Whisky bases, that should tell you something. But, any current Whisky pilot can go to any of those carriers and make 60K from day one, which is probably more than Whisky is paying any of it's FOs currently.

Maybe so... but I know of one robust ORF FO who's making more than that. She's gotta support that two sandwich-a-leg habit!

I make more than 60k as well. I'm a commuter and still made 72k last year.

With all the hiring, getting carrier in distress status will land almost all the qualified pilots at delta united or an alpa lcc very fast

I wouldn't count on that though. Maybe the mid time captains but anything less than that I wouldn't expect the time of day from anyone but spirit. Even then, just because you're our out of a job doesn't mean it's a handshake agreement at delta. Look at all the comair guys still just trying to get a nod from anyone

Qualified will get picked up fast. A crap load of Comair guys went to Delta. And they were the only ones hiring then, very different now.

I think any pilot that leaves Whiskey now or a year from now likely won't have any problem finding a better job.

Why would any pilot leave now or a year from now if it wasn't for a better job?
