One thing I don't understand about the new LOA is the tiered bonus in May and Oct. Why am I only worth 3k in May but 5k in Oct? Is being on property in Oct going to be a 2k harder question for me and my family to answer ? If we were to stay in business , we'd be worth the same in May or Oct.
On the other side of things. With a 5k hire bonus, 3k in May, 5k in Oct (minimum,as per the LOA, could be more up to the company) , and more than likely an increase in year 1 FO pay to 36-40$/HR would put first year compensation around 49-53k$. With that and some announced flying maybe we could get some new hires and start moving the list.

If you read the Q&A, it sounds like the company is planning to use this to buy them time to obtain a new CPA and keep staffed until then. In the Thanksgiving letter, they said they were looking at "multiple possibilities".
Nothing is confirmed. Knowing the company, they won't sign anything unless it's a really lucrative deal.

Except that there are still regionals paying more first year, second year, and third year, with growth and a quicker upgrade who happen to have bases where you do. I'm not rooting against you, I have friends there who are in a tough position and can't afford to go to a regional or an LCC, so they're waiting. But if you think this is supposed to do anything more than stop some of the bleeding I think you're going to be disappointed. They company didn't want to do this, they needed to do this to have a go at fulfilling their contractual commitments to AAG. And now you gave up whatever leverage you may have had for something that isn't even industry standard at this point.
Second , you say that this new LOA won't work in recruiting new pilots but then say we gave up all our leverage. The leverage is that the company can't recruit pilots , so which is it?

Them saying they are trying to buy time is infuriating. They have had nothing but time. All they have done so far is #!$$ away all their time and in doing so a good share of their pilots.

You contradict yourself in almost the same breath. You cite that there are regionals that pay more first, second, and third years but that you have friends at AWAC that can't afford to switch, when even you claim , have the same bases as us. So according to you, they can't afford to switch and make more money ?
