AWAC is working on finalizing two deals right now. One with delta for 38 crj 200s which explains why your airline bought all the additional engines. The second is 22 175s for united. They're almost done on both. Basically just determining a system structure that is beneficial to both partners.

Any rumor at this stage is deemed plausable, who knows what they will pull out of their butts.
But, I haven't heard anyone leaving to a worse job from here.

Wouldn't those engines be required to complete the the American flying they are contacted to do? I can't speak for rj engines, but with how much utilisation we are doing with our planes we fly them a minimum of 40 hours a week.. time 52 those engines see well over 2000 hours a year...

It's like 15-20 engines. There is over 60 aircraft. How many engines in the fleet are currently coming to the end of their service life? I bet they could easily go though that pile in 1.5 years. That's just normal life. Not evening counting mx, severe damage from FOD. its like bragging they have a stock pile of 100 tires up there.
