To my AW people's...you might as well go interview, grab a job offer and put it in your pocket. Use it when you need it. At least with that you will have something AWAC refuses to give us...job security.

Just a heads up to those who may not be aware. You are able to sell your vacation days! Its only available now during open enrollment from what I understand. Great company and pilot group. I am out and thankfully in an upwards direction.

I heard at AWAC that if you put in your two weeks notice then call in sick during that span, they will not pay out your vacation time. Anyone can confirm or deny this? Thanks

IIRC that's not in the contract so I don't know how they can get away with it.

I agree. I looked in the contract and did not see anything about that. I don't think the FAA would look too fondly if someone is basically forced to fly sick to ensure they received their earned vacation.
