Thanks for the fast update. Hoping good things happen for you guys. You never know in this business. Hang in there! Below is what I posted recently on another thread about United hiring projections.
From last Friday's Flight Ops Update.
New hires and leave returns 2016 - 550
New hires planned for 2017 - 1106
New hires planned for 2018 - 1236
Number of new Captains - 450 (unsure of the timeline didn't say)
Number of aircraft we plan to have in 2017 - 767 (vs 739 planned in 2016)
I have been told my several pilots who recently attended captain upgrade training when they visit headquarters in Chicago they have been told in five years:
16000 plus pilots on our seniority list - currently have slightly more then 12,500.
220 additional mainline aircraft.
Yes they may be overly optimistic but it's a very good sign. While today it's very competitive to get a legacy job, I predict in 5 years the Legacies will be dealing with the same type of pilot shortage the Regionals are facing today.

Outside of the lifers not leaving, I hope everyone that can/wants to leave gets out ASAP and that this place starts getting sued by AA for not being able to fulfill their obligations.
It is complete BS to give all this crap about "Our TEAM, We are in this together, We are family..." blah blah blah and yet say literally not ONE word about anything.

I'm hoping the Monday thing includes the $10,000 training completion bonus.
