I used to be optimistic about AWAC. I realize now that even though the market for additional flying it's there, that doesn't necessarily translate to growth. My new view on this place is as follows. AWAC will run the 50s until they time out and start replacing them with larger aircraft. This will allow AWAC to continue to profit while at the same time ensuring pilot coverage. The pilot coverage it's critical and the reason for their hesitance to grow. They will continue to operate with those pilots who are too old to move on anywhere and are enjoying massive vacation benefits and pay/ other quality of live that comes from longevity. They will be around for another 10 years or so, and when that time comes AWAC will continue to replenish their small fleet with their new program they have implemented recently. I am out of here , I personally do not want to fly or continue to support a company that keep their employees in the dark.

All at the same time, AWAC is now in the bottom third for costs in the regional industry. Good Luck. BTW, what was that flavor of koolaid you had?

I want what you're drinking. The owners of the privately held company known as AWAC are getting old. They already said the current pilot contract was too expensive to secure new flying. Read: " We don't want to reduce our profit margin."

Also, they will say what they can to increase their profit margin by two cents if it takes feeding lies about how expensive we are. That's how bargaining works.
Also, the profit margin on larger aircrafts is much higher. Want to know what sort of kooklaid I am drinking ? I ll tell you if you tell me what you are on first !
I am only encouraging that people do their own research and use some deductive reasoning.

Can you tell us what manufacturer will provide these airplanes? Are they already ordered? What is the delivery time. The 175 deliveries are all accounted for. AAL has some 900's that will be coming down the line soon, but they are accounted for as well.
