Idk, I would rather travel to an interview than conduct it over the phone or via Skype; if you're really frustrated about having to leave home and stay in a hotel a night, is being a pilot for you? It's nice to go a check out a companies operation, see some faces and what not and see the set up. To some people that can be a deal breaker; whether or be flying or just the regular outside working world. Walking in and seeing a nice building, helpful secretary, being offered a water and what not to some people is a big deal. It goes a long way in seeing what's to come. If a Company doesn't want to go out of its way to see me in person and shake my hand, what's the future hold dealing with them? Call me a entitled millennial, but it makes me feel wanted, and like a person and not just number 15 on the Skype call list for the day. It's cool to check out a company operations, see the things you probably might never see as a line pilot ever again.

Agree. It's easy for a recruiter to stretch the truth about a company if they are rushing you through a Skype interview. I'd rather see what I was getting into.

Why waste 2 days away from your home and family for such a thing?

If NYC was a better base for you, then the decision was easy. Good luck. Endeavor is a good company.
The interview goes both ways. One should be doing research on the companys they're interested in just as they are researching you. Hard to really get a feel for the company via a Skype interview

If you have been in the industry for more than a couple years, you should know everything that you need to know about the other companies. What more is there to know? It is all just a recruiting sales pitch anyways.

People complaining about being offered the job too fast? Unbelievable. What is going on with this industry?!?!?!

Getting to do a skype interview and have that be your AA interview and people are complaining about it? Wow. They would rather go interview to fly the same airplane for another company just to see the same sims and office type buildings they've already seen and then only have to interview at the same company again to fly a few more passengers? Whatever floats your boat.....

Really, your gonna go there. This industry at least on the regional side is in a death spiral. Come on, Skype interviews? That's complete BS. Sales pitch? If that's the case why doesn't every company do this?

Chances are either way would yield the same results. But why degrade this industry by going away from the formal interview?

I remember just 2 years ago when eveyone and their mom ripped on Mesa for doing interviews over the phone, now it's what eveyone wants? Whatever I guess. I didn't know leaving your house for a few days was such a big deal. Y'all are gonna love training and then being on the line

Wasn't AWAC offering class dates over the phone not too long ago?

This. Mesa has been the laughing stock of airline hiring.
