Didn't say anything about Brown-nosing. It's different to tell someone you don't want them in here because it's not their crew room and it's small compared it's our crew room and I don't like you. Reason being is Karma can be a mofo.

Being careful with your words is different then being "more tolerable to things". You're making two points now, the most recent of which I agree with.

Are we back on the crew room thing? Lol. We have better things to laugh about...like this supposed FO retainment/new hire attraction LOA the company is working on that is sure to provide lots of comedic commentary and plenty of laughs.

We can speculate on what they intend to offer to attract new hires such as maybe upping the Amazon gift card to $200? Free unlimited PB&J during training?

You'd think we'd have an actual contract before bothering with a new hire LOA. Such an LOA would be terrible for contract negotiations. If they want new hires all they have to do is quit stalling and make their next contract offer worthwhile.

Thank you sweetholyjesus. Agreed. No to the loa. Speaking of loa's I think it may be prudent to read through them and take a second look at our current loa's and rethink about our position on them.

Being in the pool of potential new hires looking for a regional job, a solid contract and a new hire LOA are both important to me (in addition to bases and planes).

With that being said, how senior of a base is DCA for FOs? I'm looking at Air Wisconsin because of DCA but if it is not attainable within a short amount of time then it really doesn't do me much good.

I'm not well versed in the intricacies of the ALPA rules and procedures but as far as I'm aware, rank and file don't get to vote on LOA's right?

Things are pretty stagnant. Could be out of training, or you could be stuck in ORF a few months.

Thank you Fleron...ORF could be doable for a few months so long as I could get to DCA pretty quick. It looks like there are quite a few flights between the two.

I believe you're correct, however I do think we are able to voice our opinion; if there is enough strength and unity in said opinion it is possible to persuade those who are able to create change to do so.

Loa's have a direct impact on our ability to hire and retain numbers in our seniority list. They effectively nullify language in our contract that seems clear and defining. One has to dig to the back of the contract and find specifics that relate to previous language in the contract.
