No, a door code was changed. No pilot over here has been told anything. This is the problem with pilots. Who cares whose crew room pilots are going into. There is zero comradery in this industry, and it's pathetic how pilots are. Walking through an airport these days and everyone walks with their heads down. They can't even look each other in the eye, or say a simple hello. They will go out of their way to avoid each other, then go home, hop on their computer, and talk all tough and complain about everything. And you wonder why we are paid what we are??? Everyone is too busy b*tching about each other and their crew rooms instead of the real issues. Pilots are the biggest bunch of hypocrites out there and it's pathetic.

Seriously guys, it's an AWAC only crew room. Yes we share in CLT and PHL because those are designated "express" crew rooms. However AWAC does not share crew rooms with other express carriers in DCA. It's a damn closet. If 4 people are in there at one time, it's over-crowded. We just don't have room in there for PSA, PDT, ENVOY, Republic.........
DCA is not even a PSA base. I personally don't care which carrier is entering without permission. There is no excuse for entering, loitering or leaving your bags in another carrier's crew room just because you think it's convenient. Grown professional adults shouldn't be having this problem.

I Personally don't spend any time in crew rooms, cause like I said in my post before its just negativity and complaining. I'll walk the airpor instead. But I agree with you that nothing should be left in another airlines crew room, that part there's zero excuse for. But these guys complaining about pilots just relaxing between flights is what I don't understand.

Why is there such a need for them to cram into another carrier's crew room all of a sudden?

As I said before, there is no room down there. Sounds like you haven't seen the place so you just don't understand. One 4 person PSA crew pretty much means 0 seats left for AWAC crews to relax between their flights. And it sounds like people have been leaving their bags, so I guess you shouldn't be surprised that some people are frustrated.

I haven't seen them but I believe you. And we always used mainline, but recently the word is that a mainline FA posted a sign on the door saying the vote room is mainline only, and for PSA and Republic pilots to go use the AWAC room. I assume pilots thought it was a notice from management and so they started going to yours like the sign said to. Like everything else, leave it to an FA to mess things up with everyone.
You're just assuming by word of mouth that a FA put that sign up. Regardless it doesn't matter. AWAC crews got the boot from the DCA mainline crew room about 7 years ago before the downstairs AWAC crew room opened. If it's all just pilots catching some rest between flights, good luck walking into a Delta crew room next time you roll through ATL.

Still gotta wonder how they got in, but I guess those door code boxes are worthless anyway.
