The attached PDF also had a very interesting section. It compared our current contract with that of Republic's. They kept attaching Republic's numbers to their 50 seat pay scale. I thought they don't fly those anymore and that their 50 seat pay scale were below ours. I wasn't aware that heir new TA included pay raises to their 50 seat scale. I guess my question is, how could we be compared to a 70+ seat operator. The comparison highlights many of our current contract strengths in comparison. Anyways, I can see how our negotiating committee may seem hesitant to get our hopes up. After all, their efforts doesn't mean anything if the company isn't looking to exist past 2018. It's possible we may be negotiating with a new owner.
Republic has a blended rate for FOs and a 50 seat rate (group 1 aircraft) for Captains. E145s are still on property, although will soon be no more. There is little to no future in old 50 seat airplanes at contract carriers.....it only makes sense to focus on 70 +.

A thing to remember. The only reason Republic filed Chapter 11 is because they could not staff those 50 seat airplanes. They kept their pay so low for so long people finally had choices elsewhere. They got greedy. Might remind owners to not compare to those guys if they want to staff their 50 seat A/C. Seems Endeavor would be a better comparison. They are taking desert aircraft back into service I read.

Share the wealth with your employees? Last time I looked AWAC's pilots weren't American Employees. They'll spend more money on there WO's before they start letting a contract carrier dictate terms.

I'm starting to get comfortable with the idea that if Awac does indeed announce anything, it's gonna be roughly around August-October of 2017. Up until then it's gonna be choas, mass exodus starting probably around April-may with people bailing to avoid the summer flying and what will be mass extensions and junior manning. Fo shortages will get to the point that downgrades might occur. I'm not waiting around until then. Nothing by Halloween, I'm out
