I know of one guy that's been rehired. He was a line pilot but now he's in some sort of management position

Someone a few pages back mentioned that what you guys are going through now is a parallel situation to Endeavor when people who stuck around through the really bad times finally have come out doing well now that the airline is back on track. That is sort of true, but you also have to remember that Endeavor back in 2014 when pilots, especially FO's, were bailing like crazy, ultimately had the full financial backing of Delta. In basically a last-ditch effort to stem attrition (that spiked to 70+ FO's in November) they threw a big wad of cash at the situation, a wad of cash that barely dented Delta's billions in profits. That huge pay raise plus the start of the FO SSP ultimately proved to be the turning point for recovery. I am certainly no expert on Air Wisconsin's financial position, but they are in no way, shape, or form on the level of Delta. Plus given how stingy AAG has been with their own WO's pilots I wouldn't look to them to come riding to the financial rescue, unless they are just so desperate for the lift that their hand is forced.

Him saying it's bad move to leave is hogwash. IF he knows things are bad, of course there is no reason to state that. Attrition is already very high (on the FO side at least) so there is no reason to, literally, open the flood gates of people bailing.
For him to say it's a bad move for FOs to bail to an LCC is absolutely stupid. Look at Spirit/Frontiers LCC pay scales. Year 2 and 3 you are making just as much as if you upgraded here. After that it's more and more. With Allegiants new TA you are WAY above what you would make as a 3-4 year CA here. Let's be honest. Given the current state of affairs, no one is upgrading here. I'm less than 20 away and have zero confidence that it is ever going to happen.
Now how about QOL? Your sure as hell not doing 4-5 leg days with 12 hr overnights in the same lame ass cities over and over and over and over and over again. Both Spirit/Frontier fly all over the country, Mexico and Caribbean. Sounds horrible. If your a family guy, with Allegiant your in your own bed almost everynight.
Things that need to happen here for
me to consider staying (as well as some other FOs to stay):
-New Contract with actual improvements.
-New base(s) somewhere besides the god damn east coast.
-Some different routes (ties into above) with some type of newer/larger plane.
-Improved scheduling and reserve rules.

I believe he said FOs moving laterally would be a bad move. An FO moving to an LCC would obviously be a step up practically anywhere. Frankly there are a couple lateral moves I can think of that would make sense.
Not too sure why a non-crusty CA moving to an LCC would be so bad either, aside from the initial pay/qol cut. At the very least, you'd retire making twice the top of a regional payscale..

I missed that gem of advise years ago. I use to lay in bed awake in 2006 wondering how much longer I had to get out of the sinking AWAC ship. I went to a LCC and on my third year made more than any AWAC CA.
Guys. They're parking airplanes. The planes they have are old and undesirable. No one is asking them to add flying. That management hasn't add flying in 10 years.
And you work under Frisch.
Tell that guy his kids Dad says "hello."
