Maybe they were bullied? Fly it or take away your LCA status? Who knows what people are thinking? Right seat profiency since there haven't been any upgrades in quite a while? I gave up beating my head in the wall about this. I flew with RSVs my last trip. If an LCA shows up for my trip, I definitely want to know why.

Yes everyone...don't confront people as you may not know the entire situation. BUT, document, document, document.
Just like they tell us instructors regarding students we may have to fail...it's not our job to staff the airline just train them, if they don't make the grade we find someone else.
Same here...it's our job to fly the contract...if the company can't staff...they still have to fly the contract not give out iPads or liberally interpret work rules just to cover their poor strategic planning.

I was considering applying for a FO role as Air Wisconsin was recommended to me a week or so ago. However, after reading through many of the forum posts here I'm a little discouraged from that. It sounds like FO are leaving in a steady stream. Would someone mind explaining why from a FO perspective?

There is no reason to come here period. The rationale that it isn't that bad is silly. This viewpoint usually comes from senior to moderately senior pilots who can hold a commutable or mostly commutable line and who have made it past the first two years on the pay scale and would now take a pay cut to go somewhere else. We've held onto the "our industry leading contract" argument far too long. Yes there are contract protection that others don't have but pay, commuter hotels, upgrade time, reserve schedules, bonuses, aircraft, and a future are things that we lack, compared to most other options.

Despite current woes, as it stands this is still a great place to work. That said, we have no future that we know of. Upgrade time is over four and a half years and increasing, fleet is shrinking, contract talks are proceeding at a glacial pace. Sure, the pay, schedules, and benefits are great for a regional but pay, schedules, and benefits don't mean diddly squat when the doors close in a year. I've been very happy here but I cant see any reason whatsoever for coming here right now.
However, its managements lack of information about the future plans of the company and thier perceived 'don't care' attitude towards fixing staffing issues that brings a dark cloud over the company. Most people that work at AWAC would have no problem helping the company. However, this principle falls apart when it looks like the company does not do the reciprocal in terms of painting the future of your career and the well being of your family, this being the source of food on the table.
MP I know you read these. We have talked about stuff thats on here. I know your powers are limited by the spry, frish and the others above. But your company has to lets us know whats going on (especially you that has been through a shutdown once knows this is the right thing to do). Are we shutting down? If so gives us a date so that we can plan our well being; were big boys we can handle it. Are we not? Then what are they thinking up there?
One thing is certain. Managements lack of information is only further killing the morale. Can't staff FOs; company says nothing. LCA's working as FOs; company mum about it. No recruiting incentives; nada from mgt.
All of this and yet we still have pretty good performance #s for AAG. Its not because piedmont, jetstream or others turn us efficiently. It's because we are busting ass trying to get that door closed all while dealing with nothing but incompetency from the stations ground handling. What will happen to that if the groups morale is gone?
I just flew a 4 day and even I, once a company cheerleader, am feeling down about lifting a finger other than my job duties. For example, needed ballast in DCA. Sure i could have let the ramp personnel working us know. But why should I get up out of my seat? Instead we called over the radio. Took an additional 7 minutes for someone with a radio to let the guy sitting on the tug know that we needed ballast.
Not once did I see my self complaining on a PUBLIC forum about AWAC.
