So your whining that a WO's wife can get a seat before you? Come on man. Just because we are pilots doesn't mean the world revolves around us. It's a company! You get the Jumpseat don't you?

You're really whining about the travel benefits

He can't even write properly, why would moronic billy read properly. His new fun word lately is "whining" though. "Is what is it".

Glad to know it's still so easy to get a rise out of you. Ain't you out picking up some extra flying. LOL

You will see what I mean when you get here. 30-35+ years of having to fight an additional tens of thousands of people to get a seat, it will get old.

The same mentality exists at the regional level for getting aircraft. Every -900 you guys get is a EMB-190 or XYZ that isn't at mainline. Great for the regional guys, but it's cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Soooo mainline guys vote away scope for their own benefit, but are now complaining about airplanes and benefits going to the very regionals they helped create. Got it.

Wait a minute, you consider your travel "benefits" the equivalent of twenty thousand dollars a year?! Are you insane?

If someone offered you a $19,000 pay raise on the condition you had to dump your travel benefits, you wouldn't do it? You are either incredibly lucky or incredibly stupid.

No way I would take only 19k to dump the travel bennies. I can live where I want and the commute is fairly easy if you can bring yourself to remember to check in at 24 hrs. If you don't have 24 he check in that's not my fault. Maybe for 50K...then I would just buy a ticket on whoever to work.

You, like many, clearly don't use your travel benefits for much else than your crappy oversold commute to work. Others have seen half the world for free and sit in first class along the way.

I don't commute, and I have been to almost everywhere in the country I want to see, and currently working my way down the list of countries. I use jumpseat privleges for this, which are an absolutely fantastic benefit. Non-revving isn't worth the cyberspace it takes up. Give me the money and I'll buy a guaranteed seat anywhere I want, not 'wherever looks open this week'. You'd have to be insane to give up a 20-40% raise for the oppourtunity to list your family of 4 on an oversold flight to Belize.
