We were having a particularly quiet day in the SOC one day and somehow we found a way to get into all the questions that were asked but not publically answered. Someone asked "Why is it always so cold in the SOC". Reply? "Temperature of SOC raised by one degree."

Look at the amount of RSVs from last award and proposed staffing. They're looking to reduce the amount of RSVs and not upgrading anyone. If you see something different, explain

Now with the backfills there could be some FO's that upgrade depending on seniority of the rsv CA's and their desire to to move bases. In the most extreme example, say that all the CA vacancies go to ORF reserve or line CA , but no existing CA in LGA,PHL , or DCA want to fill those spots , then they would go to FO's that have a preference for ORF CA

Vacancy results are in. Just lines, no upgrades. However, I heard today from someone in the training department that the class of 8 is finishing up sims right now, and a class of 16 is soon starting systems. Hopefully this will result in upgrades soon...

Hopefully you were able to sum up the number of CA vacancies and CA backfills and see that they are equal, otherwise this next explaination could stun you.

I know of one who can hold a line but did not see them get awarded anything. I flew with him a month ago and he said he was going to take the next one. Not sure what happened. Nor did I see anyone else who may have bypassed to avoid the adventures of being on RSV.
