I wouldn't say it's a wrap but if things keep going the way they are we will have a staffing crisis.

Our CEO would be the last to admit anything. If anything is going on, they have all signed none disclosure agreements. They will never let Delta happen again. If, or until something is done and signed, is the only time we will heat an announcement.

I mean did anyone expect AWAC to confirm any rumors. Of course they will deny anything until they have a done deal.

Exactly. I don't know why everyone is surprised by this or thinking we are absolutely done for. They will talk when whatever it is, is signed for a legally binding.

Someone just said BF was in GS talking about the "pieces coming together soon" and we signed a 5 year contract to have our engines overhauled. Obviously why would you sign that if you have zero intentions of flying?

Unless they were just gonna keep the maintenance operation around to service OAL's planes... diabolical yes... unlikely...maybe.

Ah huh, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that saying there is no forthcoming anouncement is bad for moral and attrition. If this person is that clueless they probably shouldn't be in the position they're in. At least they're not just blowing smoke up your arses. Gotta respect them for that

Seems to me the company would want to take care of your contract first. They have no clue of what cost it would take to sign with a mainline carrier. Going to be a hard sell for a major to sign a contract without knowing the fixed cost.

I agree. I don't think it's a coincidence we are negotiating every month going forward. Last session they got some sections TA'd. We have scheduled sessions late July, August and Sept. They never ever used to meet that often.

Hard sell for who? If the price is right the major will buy. The major knows their fixed cost at signing. The end cost to AWAC as a result of their negotiations comes out of their bottom line at the end of the day, not the majors in said agreement.

Same goes for if any company wants to give bonuses of any kind to support their flying contracts they need to uphold. It comes out of their pocket, not the majors.
