Are you Effin kidding me? What a complete joke these management pukes are! A rumor being mentioned? This guy has heard what the Feds are talking about? What??????? Really?????? EMB-170's????
Read between the lines folks, they don't want people leaving and will lie and concoct these stupid stories In a feeble attempt to prevent a mass exodus........ There are lots of greener pastures out there now with big bonuses for 121 experience and relatively fast upgrades. Not to mention the DEC jobs where you can make an easy $75K to start...... No strategic planning, no hiring incentives, old ratty aircraft, executive leadership bailing out, expensive contract, no upgrades, etc..... Fast Eddie and company are doing a real stellar job now aren't they?

Until there is an official announcement that the doors are closing, there will be no "mass exodus". Everyone that I know here is actively pursuing a better job. I guess I'm not tier one material, but I'm bailing at the first opportunity. No one's coming here to retire, and every f/o I fly with knows it's a short term stay for them. They are here because airwis checked all the boxes they had for qol at a regional job.
That being said don't look too closely Into all these rumors. In 8 years here I've only heard three rumors that Have actually had substance and became of anything. The furlough, losing United flying to express jet, and losing the Delta flying. Everything else has been dreams and fantasy.

I was ORF based when I was a new hire. I was stuck there for a mere 3 months and bid out as soon as I could. We had early starts and late finishes with overnights of 19-23 hours which turned those early starts to late finishes. If you live there, then the lines are ok. But they're not commuter friendly

I just thought it was a pretty funny rant for a public forum. And, yes, those are feelings and sprinkled with not too many facts. I don't think management is spreading rumors to try to keep people here.

I don't think management makes up rumors, but I'm sure they don't mind them existing and won't jump at disqualifying them. The rumors do keep people from leaving and they help push people over the fence to come here.
