Yeah I agree. We are on the verge of not being able to staff our flying on a much larger scale like Republic. Right now they're getting away with just delaying flights for over two hours until they find a crew. Most of my reserve calls are to cover flights like that.

This summer is going to be horrible and I honestly don't want to be around for it. I have an offer back home to fly Corp and while I like the airlines, I just don't know...
It is just astounding to me that AWAC is, literally, one of the only regionals left without a signing bonus, commuter hotels etc, damn near ANYTHING, to try and intice someone to come here. The $100 Visa gift card for interviewing? What a complete joke. Put them up in a hotel already.
My theory is, if there was a big plan past 2018 and for any type of growth, they have severely F'd themselves by keeping so quite and tying to intice fear. Outside of poaching guys, there is basically no one out there to draw from. You would have needed all the pilots you had, and then some. Well now you have lost a lot of really good people.

I think the days of the CRJ are numbered! Last week didn't help. 402 and 442 going down as well as whatever planes are in the paint shop and heavy checks.
They bragged about being the last CRJ operator left in my ground school.......problem is the airplane isn't cooperating! Been through this before at Comair. Unless AWAC gets another fleet type I think it's days are numbered. The dreams of being the last CRJ operator are numbered. OOS has been blowing up over the last few weeks. Avg 8 to 10 airplanes per day. MX cost I would guess is cutting into the profits!
Think I'm 150 from upgrade but this about where I was at Comair when things went south! Hopefully out of the regionals finally soon! Too be continued!

Captain I flew with last night said he flew from MKE, and happened to talk to a mechanic that claims that the company is going to park 12 aircrew ft by the end of the year. If this is correct 50 percent of the FO's will never upgrade. might have to run while we can.

A mke mechanic that I talked to only said 6 about 2 weeks ago. That's quite a differance. None the less. We need need some new planes, flying, any incentive at all to come here. Resume has been updated.
