Still have a lot of friends there I hope can weather this storm.
Nope. Got nothing better to do. No one cares about me anyway so, might as well fact check.

All but a few. A buddy told me Omni is hiring, so he's doing good still at least.

The experts were "wrong" because the shutdowns did what they were supposed to, they greatly reduced the rate of infection. I'm not saying let's stay shutdown, that would be bad. I'm also not saying, pack yourself into a bar. They are equally bad ideas imo
Soooo... keep hiding in the closet?

Are we ignoring the 66% of admits in NYC that were sheltered in place?

I'm not quite sure what you're saying. I'm sorry I'm not brilliant. I'm solidly above average, though. Not by much, but I'm a pretty good self evaluator.

I'm saying there is a serious disease in our midst, and it demands respect. Caution on the part of individuals, long term social distancing pending more data on what risks our health system can tolerate. Wearing masks in public places, and generally heightened hygiene practices.

I don't think we should have the government enforce a never-ending lockdown, I don't think you should cower. I think we should proceed with caution.

Yes lets proceed with an overabundance of over-reaction and cause another depression to mitigate a flu that seems to hurt people who should already be hunkering down. Werent we supposed to just flatten a curve? Was it the growth curve?
This is going to cost hundreds of millions people their savings, sanity and career- for WHAT???
Is no one seeing this?

A serious disease? You don't say? I think everyone knows by now.

I disagree with your solution method. Here's the difference: I think you should do all those things if that's what you think is best for you. What I don't think is that you should mandate those solutions for me. I do me. You do you.

Don't worry; I'm not cowering. Never have never will.

Bingo. I've said it from day 1 the economic fallout will pale in comparison of what the virus did. As soon as they shut the economy down we were hosed.

More and more of us will be on the streets looking for jobs that aren't there any longer.

Yea...but we mandate lots of things in the name of public safety. See all the FARs. Seatbelt laws. Speed limits? How about building codes.I'm sure you can operate your flight plenty safely doing only some rules, but when it comes to people dying, we tend to try and take a cautious approach.

When did all these pilots suddenly decide economics should trump safety? I guess everyone is just saying screw it to reserve fuel now bc what does the FAA know about fuel? After all, it would save the company some money so what's safety matter.
